This pretty much sums up my holiday advice at this point. If life is all about stress and balance, and we all know the holidays can accelerate our stress levels to an unhealthy level pretty quickly, then you need to try and find your happy place daily or at least every other day. For me, that is running, yoga, wrestling with my kids, working out with my small group class, 3 minutes of meditative breathing just to name a few that are easy to incorporate into my weekly life. So make a list of the things that help you down regulate your nervous system and find your “sweet spot” or “happy place”. Try to fit them into your life daily or at least enough times per week to balance out the added stress of the holidays. And don’t forget that keeping our healthy eating in check will also help.
I hope you will be able to make it to class this week! We have our 12 days of Christmas holiday workout countdown starting tomorrow. If you cannot come to class, you can always access the workouts that are on my website for some at home fitness fun. Don’t forget to sign up online if you are coming.
If your child is planning on participating in my Winter Skills and Conditioning class at Hillview, don’t forget to sign up soon!! Space is limited.
