Creating New Endings!

It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over!  One of my kids said to me this morning, “but it feels like summer just started!”  It is amazing how quickly 10 weeks can pass and yet, 10 weeks is a lot of time, especially when thinking about fitness and how much time it takes to make significant gains in your overall fitness level.  You can make a lot of progress in as little as 6 weeks, especially if you have SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, timely) goals and are consistent in your training program.
I get asked all the time, “what percentage do you think diet plays in the fitness equation?”  Another major contributor in the fitness equation is diet or nutrition.  I would say that nutrition is 75% of the equation if you are talking about weight loss or maintaining a healthy weight.  I would say it is at least 50% of the equation when talking about personal fitness goals.  Diet greatly impacts how we feel, and how we feel physically and emotionally determines how much we have to give on any given day for the time we have to workout.  So, to a large degree, the results you get from your workout are greatly influenced by your diet.  The best diet is always the healthiest one you can maintain over time.  If you are looking to achieve very significant health and fitness goals, I urge you to evaluate your diet to see where you can make improvements.  If you need help, please let me know.
As the start of school is fast approaching, this is a great week to get back on track with your nutrition and exercise plan.  It’s time to set new goals, evaluate your diet, and get started on your “new ending”!!!  Taking care of your heath is the best gift you can give yourself.
All group classes will officially start the week of Monday, August 26th.  I am holding the following small group times for those of you who wanted to start this week, please let me know ASAP which times you want to join as I think they will fill up.  The cost may be a little higher than the regular class price, but I am hoping to get 4-6 participants in each time slot to keep the price down.  You can sign up for as many small groups as you want!!!  Sign up fast so I know who is coming!!!
