Its that time of year again, to start fresh….

It’s that time of year again, time to start fresh, set new goals, come up with new ideas for what you want to achieve, sometimes it works, sometimes life just keeps going and no changes are made.  I believe everyday has potential for change and everyone can make positive changes if they want to.  Sometimes all we need are small changes to make a large impact.  Getting 15-20 minutes extra sleep a night, getting up 5 minutes early to meditate, adding 1 extra workout day to your weekly routine, drinking a glass of water when you first wake up everyday, turning off your computer when your kids get home…the list could go on and on.

Here are a few changes I am making and I welcome you to join me.  When you set goals with other people, there is more accountability and more accountability increases the likelihood that the goals will be achieved!

1.  Starting Monday, Jan. 7th, I am taking the Whole30 elimination challenge.   Yes, I too consumed too many sweets, carbs, alcohol, etc. over the holidays.  I am joining the Whole 9 challenge for eliminating processed food, alcohol, grains, sugar, and legumes for 30 days.  Here is more information – http://whole9life.com/start/

2.  I am participating in my first “mud challenge” in February 2nd with a group of Perfectly Fit clients.  If you want to join us, please sign up for the Dirty Girl Mud Run –http://www.imathlete.com/events/EventOverview.aspx?fEID=14068.  Check with me first for details on how to sign up with the group.

3.  Meditate 5 minutes everyday – this just involves focused breathing for 5 minutes which sounds like no big deal, but I guarantee that this is the one that I am least likely to accomplish.  Here are the reasons I am motivated to try 5 minutes – http://www.rodale.com/health-benefits-meditation?page=0,0

If you or any of your friends  are looking for coaching help in order to make changes in your lifestyle and health, please let me know.
